Mac and iPhone: Requires iCloud and internet connection. iPhone Mirroring is available on Mac computers and Apple silicon and Intel-based Mac computers with a T2 Security Chip. Requires that your iPhone and Mac are signed in with the same Apple Account using two-factor authentication, your iPhone and Mac are near each other and have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on, and your Mac is not using Airplay or Sidecar. Some iPhone features (eg. camera and microphone) are not compatible with iPhone mirroring.

Adobe Premier Pro 2024 v24.6.1 tested using Scene Edit Detection using a 3-minute and 27-secon project with H.264 media at 3840x2160 resolution and 30 frames per second. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of MacBook Pro.

Up to 14 More Hours Battery Life (Up tp 24 Hours Total): Testing conducted by Apple from August through October 2024 using preproduction 14-inch MacBook Pro systems with Apple M4, 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD. Wireless web battery life tested by browsing 25 popular websites while connected to Wi-Fi. Video streaming battery life tested with 1080p content in Safari while connected to Wi-Fi. Display brightness set to 8 clicks from the bottom and keyboard backlight was off. Battery life varies by use and configuration.

Up to 7.8x Faster than Intel-Based MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019): Testing conducted by Apple from August through October 2024 using preproduction 16-inch MacBook Pro systems with Apple M4 Max, 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU, and 128GB of RAM, and 4TB SSD, as well as production 2.4GHz 8-core Intel Core ii8-based 16-inch MacBook Pro systems with Radeon Pro 5600M graphics with 8GB of HBM2. and 64GB of RAM, all configured with 8TB SSD. Prerelease Redshift v2025.0.0 tested using a 29.2MB scene utilizing hardware-accelerated ray tracing on systems with M4 Max and M3 Max. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of MacBook Pro.

Display: Screen size is measured diagonally. Actual diagonal screen size of the 24-inch iMac is 23.5 inches. The displays on the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro have rounded corners at the top. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screens are 13.6 inches, 15.3 inches, 14.2 inches and 16.2 inches diagonally (actual viewable area is less).

Storage: 1GB = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = 1 trillion bytes; actual formatted capacity less.

​

​Touch ID: Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is included with iMac (M4) systems with 10-core GPU, iMac (M3) systems with 10-core GPU, and iMac (M1) systems with 8-core GPU. It is available as an option on iMac (M3) systems with 8-core GPU and iMac (M1) systems with 7-core GPU.
